Role Description This is a full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for an engineer specializing in 800xA Distributed Control Systems (DCS). The role involves designing, configuring, and implementing 800xA DCS solutions for industrial automation projects, including control strategies, graphics, and system integration.

Responsibilities include participating in requirement analysis, creating detailed engineering documentation, and supporting FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities at customer sites. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot system issues, optimize performance,



and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards. The role also includes ongoing maintenance support, system upgrades, and knowledge sharing within the project team.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong expertise in ABB 800xA DCS engineering, including configuration, programming, graphics development, and system diagnostics.
- Candidates should possess skills in industrial automation and control systems, including PLC/SCADA concepts, process control, field instrumentation, and communication protocols.
- Candidates should possess abilities in project engineering and documentation, including preparing I/O lists, cause-and-effect matrices, functional design specifications, and as-built drawings.
- Candidates should possess skills in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting, including support for FAT/SAT, on-site commissioning, and resolving control system and network issues.
- Candidates should possess collaboration and communication capabilities, including working with multidisciplinary teams, interacting with customers, and presenting technical solutions clearly.
- Relevant experience in process industries such as Food & Beverages, CPG, Automotive, Pharma, or Utilities is highly beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline is preferred.
- Familiarity with other major OEM platforms (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell) and awareness of industrial cybersecurity and safety standards will be an added advantage.
