JOB DESCRIPTION – SECURITY OFFICER

Position: Security Officer
Department: Administration
Reports To: General Manager (Admin) / Principal

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and manage all security guards and security-related activities of the school.
- Ensure the safety and security of students, staff, visitors and school property.
- Monitor entry and exit of students, employees, visitors, vehicles and vendors.
- Ensure proper checking and maintenance of visitor and vehicle records.
- Monitor CCTV surveillance and report any suspicious activity or security concerns.
- Prepare and implement security arrangements for school events, examinations and special functions.
- Conduct regular security rounds of the school premises and identify potential risks.
- Ensure proper functioning of security equipment, gates, CCTV, alarms, fire safety equipment, etc.
- Handle emergencies, accidents, unauthorized entry and other security incidents promptly.
- Coordinate with police, fire department and other emergency services whenever required.
- Train and brief security guards regarding their duties, discipline and emergency procedures.




- Maintain security registers, incident reports and daily security records.
- Ensure strict adherence to school security policies and protocols.

Desired Profile:

- Graduate preferred; candidates with experience in security administration will be given preference.
- Previous experience as a Security Officer/Supervisor, preferably in a school, institution, hospital or corporate organization.
- Valuable communication, leadership and crisis-management skills.
- Physically fit, alert and disciplined.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to maintain security records.
- Retired Defence/Police personnel may be preferred.
