Urban Company is a technology plaorm oering customers a variety of services at home.
Customers use our plaorm to book services such as beauty treatments, haircuts, massage
therapy, cleaning, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, pain¢ng, etc., all delivered in the
comfort of their home and at a ¢me of their choosing. We promise our customers a
high-quality, standardized, and reliable service experience. To fulll this promise, we work
closely with our hand-picked service partners, enabling them with technology, training,
products, tools, nancing, insurance, and brand, helping them succeed and deliver on this
promise.
Urban Company started as UrbanClap in November 2014, when its founders, Abhiraj, Raghav,
and Varun, realized that the home services industry was predominantly unorganized,
fragmented, and oine. Customers found it challenging to avail quality services conveniently,
and service professionals were struggling to make ends meet, having to rely upon several
middlemen, contractors, and local aggregators. The founders felt that the industry was ripe for
disrup¢on, and launched Urban Company, with three key principles in mind -
1. Customer love: Build a pla¢orm that oers truly deligh¢ul and dieren¢ated services
2. Partner empowerment: Build a deep, full-stack partnership with service partners, helping
improve their earnings and overall livelihood
3. Technology rst: Bring innova¢on and technology to an age-old industry
About the Role & Team
Category Manager is responsible for driving quality opera¢ons like good selec¢on of partners
and their post-approval performance. This would primarily involve running screening and
training opera¢ons and improving the quality of the exis¢ng partner base




This includes end-to-end ownership of the ini¢a¢ve, including problem solving, analysis,
process improvement, execu¢on

Support Business Heads in BAU category management ac¢vi¢es related to partner
performance
What youll do:
Drive onboarding of great service professionals in the category - involves thinking through the
full supply chain - selec¢on, training and escala¢on management of partners.
Be part of projects that are focused on improving customer and partner experience
Collaborate with cross-func¢onal internal partners in marke¢ng, technology and product to
execute mul¢ple category and central level projects
What we need:
Sharp and hungry professionals willing to go above and beyond to create impact
6 months -2 years of work experience
Procient in advanced Excel/ SQL/Tableau/Power BI
Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace, requires solving ambiguous problems,
and is highly outcome-oriented. We will look for candidates who display these
characteris¢cs and have demonstrated the ability to solve problems.
