Position Title - IMAGE Project Coordinator

Location - Bangalore, Karnataka

Reporting To - Programme & Partnerships Lead & Executive Director

Background

IMAGE (Initiatives for Married Adolescent Girls' Empowerment) is Children of India Foundation's flagship programme focused on the empowerment and protection of early-married girls. The programme works across areas including health and well-being, education, livelihoods, social protection, legal protection, child protection, prevention of gender-based violence and advocacy, while organising early-married girls into a movement for collective action.

CIF is currently implementing multiple IMAGE projects with different donors and geographical focuses. The Project Coordinator will provide central coordination and oversight across these projects to ensure programme coherence, quality implementation, timely reporting and effective use of resources.

Purpose of the Position

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the overall implementation of the IMAGE Programme across different projects and locations. The position will provide technical and operational support to project teams, monitor progress, strengthen coordination across projects and ensure that programme objectives, donor commitments and organisational priorities are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate the overall implementation of the projects with the focus on Movement building, legal protection, mental health and wellbeing, in Karnataka, in coordination with respective project teams.
- Develop and maintain an integrated IMAGE Programme work plan, activity calendar and implementation tracker.
- Monitor progress of all IMAGE projects against approved objectives, targets, timelines and budgets.




- Provide regular guidance and support to District Coordinators and field teams to address implementation challenges.
- Ensure consistency and quality of the IMAGE programme approach, tools, methodologies and community engagement processes across projects.
- Coordinate cross-project learning, sharing of good practices and replication of successful approaches.
- Monitor the progress of EMG movement building, leadership development, health, education, livelihoods, child protection, advocacy and other programme interventions.
- Coordinate with technical experts, partners, consultants and relevant government stakeholders as required.
- Undertake regular field visits to project locations to review implementation quality and provide in office support.
- Review project data, reports and documentation and ensure timely submission of high-quality reports to management and donors.
- Work closely with the MEAL team to strengthen monitoring, data quality, outcome tracking, documentation and learning across IMAGE projects.
- Support development of case studies, success stories, programme learning and evidence for communication, fundraising and advocacy.
- Identify emerging needs and opportunities across IMAGE locations and support development of new project concepts and proposals.
- Coordinate donor visits, review meetings, programme presentations and other external engagements related to IMAGE.




- Work closely with the Finance and Administration teams to monitor project budgets, expenditure and compliance.
- Ensure timely identification and escalation of programme, financial, safeguarding and operational risks.
- Support the Programme & Partnerships Lead in strategic planning, resource mobilisation and future expansion of the IMAGE Programme.
- Ensure all IMAGE projects comply with CIF's safeguarding, financial, data protection and other organisational policies.

Qualifications and Experience

- Master's degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Sociology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in programme/project management in the development sector.
- Experience managing or coordinating multi-location projects, preferably involving adolescent girls, child protection, gender, health or community development.
- Experience in donor-funded project management, reporting and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong understanding of programme planning, monitoring, documentation and learning.
- Experience working with government departments, CSOs, community-based organisations and other stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, coordination, facilitation and report-writing skills in English and Kannada.
- Willingness to travel regularly to project locations across Karnataka.

Compensation

Compensation shall be commensurate with qualification and experience
