- Monitor the quality of moulded components during production.
- Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
- Ensure products comply with customer drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Check critical dimensions, appearance, weight, fitment, and functional requirements.
- Identify and segregate defective or non-conforming parts.
2. Moulding Process Quality
- Monitor moulding process parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed, cooling time, and cycle time.
- Ensure approved process parameters are followed consistently.
- Identify process-related defects and support corrective actions.
- Monitor mould condition and coordinate with Production/Maintenance for mould-related issues.
- Reduce rejection, rework, and process variation.
3. Defect Analysis & Corrective Action
- Analyze moulding defects such as:
- Short moulding
- Flash
- Sink marks
- Warpage
- Weld lines
- Burn marks
- Flow marks
- Dimensional variation
- Colour/appearance defects
