Job description:- Indoor / Outdoor Railway Signalling - Managers

Role & responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

- Plan, execute, monitor, and control railway signalling projects from commencement to completion.
- Prepare project schedules, manpower plans, material requirements, and execution strategies.
- Ensure projects are delivered within approved time, cost, quality, and safety parameters.

Indoor Signalling Works

- Manage installation, testing, and commissioning of indoor signalling systems.
- Coordinate works related to Relay Rooms, Electronic Interlocking, Control Panels, Power Supply, IPS/UPS, cable termination, and equipment installation.
- Ensure proper wiring, termination, labelling, testing, and documentation.

Outdoor Signalling Works

- Supervise installation of signals, point machines, track circuits/axle counters, location boxes, cables, junction boxes, and related field equipment.
- Coordinate cable laying, route works, equipment foundations, termination, and testing.
- Ensure field installations comply with approved drawings and railway standards.

Signalling & Telecommunication Coordination

- Manage coordination between Signalling, Telecommunication, Electrical, Civil, and Track teams.
- Ensure interfaces between signalling and telecom systems are properly planned and executed.
- Coordinate with Railways, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Testing & Commissioning

- Lead pre-commissioning, testing, trial runs, and final commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with approved testing procedures and railway safety requirements.
- Coordinate inspections and commissioning with railway authorities.

Manpower & Resource Management

- Plan and deploy engineers, supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors.
- Monitor productivity and workforce utilisation.
- Ensure adequate skilled manpower is available at each project location.





Project Cost & Commercial Management

- Monitor project budgets, quantities, productivity, and material consumption.
- Control project costs and minimise wastage.
- Support BOQ, billing, variation, extra-item, and subcontractor management.

Quality & Documentation

- Ensure execution as per approved drawings, specifications, QAP/ITP, and railway standards.
- Maintain inspection records, test reports, as-built drawings, checklists, and commissioning documents.
- Coordinate internal and client quality inspections.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure strict compliance with Railway Safety Rules, EHS requirements, work permits, PPE, and site safety procedures.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and monitor secure working practices.
- Ensure safety controls during block works, cable works, testing, and commissioning.

Client & Stakeholder Management

- Act as the primary project-level interface with Railway officials, consultants, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Conduct regular project review meetings.
- Resolve technical, execution, commercial, and site-related issues.

Risk & Issue Management

- Identify project risks related to manpower, materials, approvals, site conditions, drawings, blocks, and commissioning.
- Develop mitigation plans and ensure timely closure of critical issues.

Project Reporting

- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
- Track milestones, DPR/WPR/MPR, material status, manpower deployment, testing progress, and project KPIs.
- Escalate delays and critical issues to management

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification: -

DEEE / DECE or BE-EEE / BE-ECE

Experience:

10 to 18 Years in Similar Field or Relevant to any infrastructure projects.

Location:

Project Managers (Co- office Bangalore Location Should be able to travel frequently)
