Location: Taj Bangalore Reporting To: General Manager About the Role Taj Bangalore is seeking an accomplished and dynamic Hotel Manager to lead all aspects of hotel operations, drive commercial performance, and deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role requires a strategic hospitality leader who can balance operational excellence, financial performance, people development, and guest satisfaction while upholding the legacy and service standards of the Taj brand. As a key member of the leadership team, you will work closely with departmental heads to maximize revenue, profitability, market share, and employee engagement, while ensuring world-class service delivery and brand compliance. Key Responsibilities Business & Financial Leadership Drive overall hotel performance by achieving revenue, profitability, occupancy, RevPAR, and market share goals. Develop and execute annual business plans, operating budgets, marketing strategies, and capital expenditure plans. Monitor financial performance, cost controls, productivity, and profitability across all departments. Collaborate with Sales & Marketing teams to build effective pricing, promotion, and revenue optimization strategies. Operational Excellence Ensure seamless day-to-day operations across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, and Front Office. Maintain the highest standards of service quality, cleanliness, maintenance, and guest experience. Lead preventive maintenance, refurbishment, and renovation initiatives to keep the property at best-in-class standards. Ensure compliance with all safety, security, statutory, and brand requirements. Guest Experience & Brand Reputation Foster a culture of exceptional service and guest-centricity across the hotel. Build and maintain relationships with VIP guests, corporate leaders, dignitaries, embassies, and key stakeholders.



Proactively gather guest feedback and implement initiatives that enhance satisfaction, loyalty, and brand perception. Champion Taj’s luxury hospitality experience through flawless execution and attention to detail. People Leadership Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of functional heads and department leaders. Drive employee engagement, talent development, succession planning, and recognition initiatives. Partner with HR to ensure effective workforce planning, performance management, learning, and capability building. Create a cooperative, accountable, and inclusive work environment. Strategic Stakeholder Management Build strong relationships with local authorities, industry bodies, business communities, and strategic partners. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to strengthen the hotel's positioning. Represent Taj Bangalore in key industry and community engagements. What We’re Looking For Qualifications Graduate or Postgraduate Degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality Management. Strong understanding of hotel operations, revenue management, financial planning, and luxury hospitality standards. Sound knowledge of statutory compliances, safety regulations, and hospitality industry best practices. Experience 12 to 15 years of progressive experience across hotel operations. Demonstrated success in leading multi-department hotel teams in luxury or upscale hospitality environments. Proven track record of driving business growth, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence. Languages Fluency in English and Hindi. Knowledge of a regional language is an advantage.
