Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair UPS systems to ensure uninterrupted power for critical infrastructure. Provide technical support to clients and manage project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Install & Commission UPS systems, transfer switches, and power distribution units
- Maintain & Repair AC/DC power systems, batteries (Li-ion/NiCad/SLA), capacitors, and associated hardware
- Troubleshoot faults using diagnostic tools provide remote/onsite corrective support during critical failures
- Customer Engagement - assess power requirements, recommend solutions, and train clients on UPS operation
- Documentation - produce service reports, maintain maintenance records, and read/provide single line diagrams
- Project Management - coordinate with teams and subcontractors to deliver on time and within budget
- Safety - adhere to all electrical safety regulations and procedures
Qualifications
Required:
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
Preferred:
- Experience with 3-phase UPS systems in data center environments
- Knowledge of power distribution, ATS, PDU, SKRU, and energy management systems
- Robust troubleshooting and fault-diagnostic skills
- Ability to read electrical one-line schematics
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to work after-hours/weekends at short notice
- Daily travel to customer sites
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
