Techno-Functional Web solutions lead (WordPress / Shopify)
Role Overview
The successful candidate is expected to remain technically hands-on and should be comfortable developing complex modules, debugging production issues, reviewing code across multiple web platforms, e-commerce initiatives, analytics implementations, and Martech solutions, and support critical releases whenever required. The candidate should have strong expertise in WordPress, Shopify, website performance optimization, analytics implementation, marketing technology integrations, and production support.
The candidate should be capable of translating business and marketing objectives into scalable technical solutions while ensuring website reliability, performance, tracking accuracy, and seamless customer experiences.
We are looking for a proactive self-starter with strong problem-solving capabilities, ownership mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage critical web and Martech initiatives.
PLEASE NOTE: We are looking for someone who has evolved from a software development background into a techno-functional solution leader. The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable discussing business objectives with stakeholders and implementing technical solutions with the development team.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Solution Design
Understand business objectives, customer journeys, and operational workflows before proposing technical solutions.
Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs and implementation plans.
Challenge requirements where appropriate and recommend simpler, faster, or more scalable alternatives.
Evaluate the business impact, technical feasibility, implementation effort, and long-term maintainability of proposed solutions.
Work closely with marketing, sales, CRM, analytics, and business stakeholders to ensure technology initiatives align with organizational goals.
Web Development & Platform Management
Develop, manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise, marketing, lead generation,



and e-commerce websites across WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, and related platforms.
Perform hands-on development, customization, debugging, enhancement, and maintenance of websites, themes, plugins, integrations, and backend systems.
Customize and troubleshoot existing codebases beyond page builders and low-code/no-code tools.
Manage staging, testing, deployment, and production releases for web platforms.
Ensure website uptime, stability, maintainability, scalability, and technical health.
WordPress & Shopify Development
Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes, plugins, templates, and WooCommerce implementations.
Perform Shopify theme customization, app integrations, storefront improvements, tracking implementation, and e-commerce enhancements.
Troubleshoot plugin conflicts, performance bottlenecks, checkout issues, and production incidents.
Martech, Analytics & Tracking
Independently implement, maintain, debug, and optimize analytics and tracking frameworks.
Hands-on expertise in:
Google Tag Manager (GTM)
Google Analytics (GA4)
Meta Pixel implementation
Conversion tracking and attribution setup
Custom event tracking and DataLayer implementation
E-commerce and lead funnel tracking
Customer journey measurement and marketing attribution
Ensure tracking accuracy across websites and campaigns.
Work with marketing, CRM, and business stakeholders to support reporting, attribution, and funnel optimization.
Integrations & Automation
Design, implement, and troubleshoot integrations between websites, CRM systems, marketing platforms, APIs, third-party tools, and customer engagement systems.
Work with APIs, webhooks,



form integrations, lead routing systems, and customer data integrations.
Support chatbot integrations, automation workflows, and Martech initiatives for customer acquisition, engagement, and nurturing.
Website Performance & Infrastructure
Optimize website performance, scalability, and user experience across devices and browsers.
Manage and troubleshoot CDN, DNS, caching, hosting, and web infrastructure components.
Hands-on experience required in:
Cloudflare CDN setup and optimization
Core Web Vitals optimization
PageSpeed optimization
Caching strategies
JavaScript and CSS optimization
Image optimization and lazy loading
Performance troubleshooting and Lighthouse analysis
Improve key performance indicators such as LCP, CLS, INP, TTFB, and website responsiveness.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
Lead technical discussions with internal stakeholders.
Break down business requirements into development tasks.
Guide developers through implementation.
Review architecture and code quality.
Mentor junior developers.
Participate in critical coding activities wherever required.
Ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations.

Required Skills & Experience
Experience
4–8 years of hands-on web development experience. (“What” – Solution)
3-5 years of Business analysis, stakeholder Management, Business Objectives driven development (“Why” – Solution)
Strong experience managing both informative and e-commerce websites.
Demonstrated expertise in WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, analytics implementation, integrations, and performance optimization.
Technical Skills (Must Have)
Solid hands-on experience in:
WordPress development and customization, WooCommerce
Shopify theme and app integrations
PHP, JavaScript / jQuery / HTML5 / CSS3
REST APIs and webhooks
CRM integrations
Git/version control, Hosting, DNS, SSL, CDN, and server troubleshooting
Staging-to-production deployments
