Platform Engineer - MuleSoft/RTP Platform Support (Ops & CI/CD)

Program: High Volume Client Enablement (HVCE)

Location: [Offshore / Hybrid Chennai/Hyderabad/Pune/Kolkata]

Shift: Tentatively 11AM to 9 PM IST

Program Context

The HVCE program supports Truist's Real-Time Payments (RTP) and MuleSoft integration platform as it scales to accommodate high-volume client onboarding. This role supports platform scaling, infrastructure expansion, resiliency improvements, and day-2 operational stability across the RTP/MuleSoft landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and support the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Runtime Manager, API Manager, Exchange) across environments supporting RTP transaction flows.

Support platform scaling activities - CloudHub/RTF worker scaling, VPC/network configuration, and capacity planning for high-volume client onboarding.

Participate in resiliency and high-availability improvements, including failover design, DR drills, load balancing, and retry/circuit-breaker patterns.

Provide shift-based operational support (L1/L2) covering monitoring, incident triage, escalation handling, and on-call rotation per the program shift roster.

Manage CI/CD pipelines in GitLab for MuleSoft application deployments, including pipeline authoring, branching strategy, and automated build/test/deploy across environments.

Troubleshoot integration and connectivity issues across API layers, on-prem/cloud connectors, and RTP messaging components.

Maintain deployment documentation, runbooks, and root-cause-analysis (RCA) reports for recurring or major incidents.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Infrastructure,



Security, Application teams, Delivery Management) to support implementation activities and change releases.

Adhere to Truist's change management, security, and compliance protocols within a regulated banking setting.

Required Skills & Experience

Area

Requirement

MuleSoft Platform Administration

3-6+ years hands-on experience administering Anypoint Platform (Runtime Manager, API Manager, CloudHub/RTF, connectors, VPC configuration) in enterprise integration environments.

Operations / Shift Support

Proven experience in shift-based / on-call production support with incident and problem management; ITIL exposure preferred.

DevOps / CI-CD (GitLab)

Hands-on experience with GitLab pipelines, runners, YAML-based CI/CD configuration, branching and merge strategies for automated build/test/deploy.

Domain Experience

Banking or Financial Services integration experience strongly preferred; exposure to Real-Time Payments (RTP) or similar payment rails is a plus.

Infrastructure

Working knowledge of cloud/network concepts (VPC, load balancers, firewalls) relevant to platform scaling and resiliency.

Communication

Strong verbal and written communication for client-facing status updates; ability to operate in regulated, high-availability environments.

Nice to Have

MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect / Integration Architect certification.

Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.

Exposure to Kafka or other RTP-adjacent messaging systems.

Prior banking client delivery experience (Truist or similar financial institution).
