Position: Banquet Sales and Catering Operations Head

Company Profile: It is a premium outdoor catering and event-hospitality company based in Varanasi. It is not a food-manufacturing company or a typical restaurant chain. Its core business is providing food, catering staff and event hospitality for large functions and gatherings

Location: Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh (with travel to Ghitorni outlet as required)

Reports to: Owner / Director

Employment Type: Full time

Education: Any graduate

Experience: Minimum 08 year to maximum 13 years with prior experience in catering/banquet/hospitality business(preferred)

As we scale up and revamp our offering, we need a strong commercial and operational hand to drive bookings, run events flawlessly, and keep the business disciplined on execution and margins.

About The Role

We're hiring a Sales & Operations Head to own the full commercial engine of the business from lead generation and client conversion through to on-ground event execution and post-event closure. This is a dual-charter role: half revenue growth, half operational excellence. You'll be the owner's key operating partner in running the business day-to-day.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

- Own the sales pipeline for weddings, corporate events, and institutional/VIP bookings from lead to signed contract
- Build and manage relationships with wedding planners, corporate clients, venues, and referral partners
- Lead client pitches, menu tastings, and site visits;
negotiate pricing and packages in line with margin targets




- Drive repeat and referral business;
build a structured CRM/pipeline process (currently informal)
- Track conversion rates, average order value, and revenue against monthly/quarterly targets operations & event execution
- Plan and oversee end-to-end execution of events staffing, logistics, timelines,vendor coordination, on-site supervision
- Coordinate closely with the kitchen/culinary team to ensure production timelines and quality are met for every event
- Own event-day operations: setup, service flow, guest experience, and issue resolution in real time
- Build SOPs for recurring operational processes (event checklists, staffing rosters,vendor management, equipment/inventory)Business & Financial Discipline
- Own P&L; accountability for events track costs vs. quotes and protect margins post-execution
- Work with ownership on pricing strategy, seasonal packages, and capacity planning
- Manage manpower planning (in-house + on-call event staff) and vendor contracts(decor, rentals, transport, etc.)
- Report on sales pipeline, event profitability, and operational KPIs to ownership regularly.

Key Skills:

- 8 to 13 years of experience in sales and/or operations, ideally within catering, banquets,hospitality, or event management
- Demonstrated ability to close high-value B2B/B2C deals (weddings, corporate,institutional)
- Strong on-ground execution experience comfortable running live events, not just planning them from a desk
- Commercial acumen comfortable owning numbers: pipeline, conversion, margins,costs
- Excellent client-facing communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (kitchen, service staff, vendors)under event-day pressure
- Based in or willing to relocate to Varanasi

Package: 5.00 LPA to 7.00 LPA (Depends upon the Interview performance)
