BMS Development Engineer will be responsible for developing software for the inhouse Daimler specific functions for both BUY and MAKE Battery Packs.
Responsibilities
1. Functional software development for BMS with MATLAB/Simulink/ Stateflow and dSpace Targetlink for code generation activities
2. Understand the System requirements and model the same in Simulink/Targetlink as per the MAAB guidelines
3. Ideate to improve the prediction and accuracy for the HV Battery system algorithms, Debug and troubleshoot issues in models
4. Participation in the currently on going and well established activities on the development of BMS algorithms, software and validation
5. ECU project activities management and integration, Build, Validation & Verification and Delivery responsibility
6. Create and maintain documentation for the models or issues reported on ELM-Doors/ Confluence/ JIRA
7. Key coordination with internal and external resources to meeting project deliverables, including vendors, contractors, and colleagues from other countries and Daimler Trucks business units.
Qualifications
2-4 years industry experience with B. Tech/M.
Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering or any associated interdisciplinary disciplines
Essential Experience:
1. Knowledge of HV Batteries, especially its mechatronics and controls is preferred
2. Experience with Model Based development confirming to modeling guidelines is a must
3. Prior development experience on any CPC6 module is an added advantage
4. Experience with one of the code generation tools such as Targetlink and Embedded coder is preferred
5. Knowledge on vehicle architectures, diagnostics, cybersecurity is an added advantage
6. Experience on performing/reviewing Static Code Analysis with Polyspace, Unit tests with tools like TPT is a plus
7. Issue analysis with tools like Canape is preferred
8. Must be well-organized, able to handle multiple, detailed tasks, and work professionally
9. Strong interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills
10. Detail oriented, reliable, and self-motivated to promote current ideas
11. Version Controlling and documentation on tools such as ELM, Confluence, JIRA, PTC Windchill and GIT is an added advantage
12. Ability to work in an environment of ambiguity and ongoing change
