Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a Wirecut/Spark EDM Operator. The role involves operating and setting up Wirecut and Spark EDM machines according to production plans and component specifications. The operator will interpret technical drawings, select appropriate tooling and parameters, and monitor machining processes to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface quality.

Daily responsibilities include performing routine machine maintenance, inspecting finished parts with measuring instruments, and documenting production data.



The role also requires working closely with the production and quality teams to meet delivery schedules, follow safety procedures, and support continuous improvement in machining processes.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in operating Wirecut and Spark EDM machines, including setup, parameter selection, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications.
- Experience using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, vernier calipers, gauges) for quality inspection.
- Knowledge of basic machining principles, materials, and manufacturing processes in a production environment.
- Understanding of industrial safety practices and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Attention to detail, good hand–eye coordination, and ability to maintain accuracy over repetitive tasks.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams.
- Prior experience in an EDM machining or toolroom environment; exposure to electrical or mechanical components is an advantage.
- Relevant technical education (ITI, Diploma, or equivalent in Mechanical, Tool & Die, or related field) preferred.
- Willingness to work in shifts and adapt to changing production priorities.
