Job Title: Video Editor (Podcasts, Reels & YouTube)

Role Overview

This role requires a high-speed, detail-oriented Video Editor capable of producing platform-native content across short-form and long-form formats. The editor should demonstrate strong judgment in pacing, storytelling, and audience retention, particularly for social-first content such as Reels and YouTube.

The position demands both creative instinct and operational efficiency—someone who can execute quickly without compromising output quality.

Key Responsibilities

Content Editing & Production

Edit podcast content (multi-camera syncing, audio cleanup, framing, jump cuts)

Produce high-retention short-form videos (Reels, Shorts) with strong hooks, pacing, and captions

Edit long-form YouTube content including interviews, podcasts, and branded videos

Create clean, engaging cuts with attention to rhythm, storytelling, and viewer engagement

Post-Production Execution

Add subtitles, motion graphics, overlays, transitions, and sound design

Perform color correction and basic grading for visual consistency

Ensure high-quality audio (noise reduction, leveling, clarity enhancement)

Platform Optimization

Adapt content for different platforms (aspect ratios, formats, durations)

Apply best practices for YouTube, Instagram, and emerging short-form platforms

Incorporate trending formats, editing styles, and audience behavior patterns

Collaboration & Workflow

Work closely with content, marketing, and strategy teams

Manage raw footage, file structures, and project organization efficiently





Deliver quick turnaround edits under tight timelines

Tools & Software Requirements

Candidates should have working proficiency (or strong familiarity) with:

Core Editing Tools

Adobe Premiere Pro

Final Cut Pro (optional but preferred familiarity)

DaVinci Resolve (basic understanding of color workflows is a plus)

Motion & Effects

Adobe After Effects (for motion graphics, transitions, text animation)

Short-form / Mobile-first Tools

CapCut

VN / similar rapid-edit tools (preferred for speed workflows)

Audio & Supporting Tools

Adobe Audition / built-in audio tools in Premiere

Basic sound design and audio cleanup techniques

Collaboration & Asset Management

Google Drive / Dropbox

Frame.io or similar review tools (optional but preferred)

Requirements

1–4 years of hands-on video editing experience

Proven experience editing

Podcasts (multi-cam preferred)

Short-form content (Reels/Shorts)

YouTube videos (long-form clips)

Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and visual flow

Awareness of current social media trends and editing styles

Ability to work quickly while maintaining quality standards

Basic understanding of color grading and audio editing
