Role Summary

We are looking for a “Video Editor Intern” who can turn raw footage into transparent, engaging, professional content for podcasts and social media.

The role will involve editing long-form podcasts, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, interview clips, promotional videos, and other branded content.

We are looking for someone who understands not only software, but also storytelling, pacing, hooks, visual presentation, and audience retention.

Key Responsibilities

Podcast & Long-Form Editing

- Edit long-form podcast episodes with clean cuts, strong pacing, and professional transitions.
- Remove unnecessary pauses, repetitions, and distractions while keeping conversations natural.
- Handle multi-camera podcast footage and choose the most effective camera angles where required.
- Create clean podcast intros, outros, title cards, and branded visual elements.

Reels, Shorts & Social Media Content
- Create engaging Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and short-form clips from long-form recordings.
- Identify strong hooks, key statements,



and reel-worthy moments independently.
- Use zoom-ins, punch-ins, cuts, captions, and visual changes to maintain viewer attention.
- Adapt videos to the correct format and aspect ratio for different social platforms.

Captions, B-roll & Visual Storytelling
- Add accurate subtitles, captions, animated text, and on-screen callouts.
- Find and use relevant B-roll, images, screenshots, headlines, graphics, and visual overlays.
- Create basic motion graphics and text animations where required.
- Maintain clean typography, visual hierarchy, and consistent branding across videos.

Audio & Finishing
- Clean and balance dialogue audio for clear listening.
- Add suitable background music and sound effects without overpowering the speaker.
- Perform basic colour correction and maintain visual consistency across footage.
- Export final videos in appropriate quality and platform-ready formats.

Content Research & Continuous Learning
- Research relevant supporting visuals and references for edits.
- Stay updated with current podcast, Instagram Reel, YouTube Shorts, and video editing trends.
- Experiment with new editing workflows and AI-assisted creative tools when useful.

Eligibility / Skills Required

- Good working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and/or CapCut Desktop.
- Understanding of cuts, transitions, pacing, timeline management, and video storytelling.
- Ability to edit both long-form and short-form video content.
- Good understanding of captions, typography,



text placement, and social-media formats.
- Basic knowledge of audio editing, sound design, and colour correction.
- Ability to identify engaging moments and strong hooks from raw footage.
- Creative judgement, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Portfolio or previous editing samples will be preferred.

Preferred Skills

- Adobe After Effects for basic motion graphics and animations.
- Adobe Photoshop / Canva for supporting graphics and thumbnails.
- Adobe Audition or other audio-cleaning tools.
- Experience with multi-camera podcast editing.
- Familiarity with AI-based video, image, and creative tools.
- Understanding of YouTube and Instagram content trends and audience retention.
