Role Description The Travel Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for overseeing end-to-end travel operations and ensuring exceptional service delivery. This role involves leading and mentoring travel teams, designing and optimizing corporate and leisure travel programs, and managing vendor relationships with airlines, hotels, and other service providers.

The Travel

Director will oversee travel budgeting and pricing strategies, monitor travel technology platforms and tools, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Daily responsibilities include analyzing travel data, improving operational efficiency, collaborating with sales teams to support business travel solutions, and resolving escalated client issues.



The role requires close coordination with internal stakeholders to develop travel strategies that align with organizational goals and enhance the overall traveler experience.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in Travel Management and Business Travel, with experience designing and overseeing comprehensive travel programs.
- Strong Sales and client relationship skills, with the ability to promote travel solutions, negotiate with vendors, and support revenue growth.
- Solid Budgeting and cost-control abilities, including experience managing travel budgets, evaluating cost-saving opportunities, and maintaining financial accountability.
- Proficiency with Travel Technology platforms and tools, and the ability to implement and optimize systems that support productive travel operations.
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities, including experience supervising staff, setting performance goals, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Advanced communication and negotiation skills, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in travel management, business, hospitality, or a related field; advanced certifications in travel or tourism are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a senior travel operations or director-level role, preferably within corporate or large-scale travel environments.
