Job Title: Test Engineer

Location: Chennai

Role Summary: We are looking for detail-oriented Software Testers to join our offshore Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidates will have robust communication skills, a solid understanding of the banking domain, and hands-on experience with both manual and automation testing. Japanese language skills are a plus. Testers will be responsible for executing test cases, closely tracking issues, following up diligently, and supporting management and stakeholder reporting.

/Responsibilities:

- Test Execution

o Execute manual and automated test cases as per test plans and project requirements.

o Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).

o Ensure test coverage and quality standards are met for all deliverables

- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other team members to clarify requirements
- Issue Tracking & Follow-Up

o Log defects with clear, concise details and steps to reproduce.

o Follow up regularly with development and support teams to ensure timely resolution of defects.

- Communication & Reporting

o Provide timely updates to the Test Lead on test progress, issues, and risks.

o Support the preparation of management and stakeholder reports as needed.

- Continuous Improvement

o Suggest improvements to testing processes, tools, and methodologies.

o Stay updated on industry best practices and new testing tools.





Technical Skills (Mandatory):

· 2 years of experience in software testing (manual and automation).

· Good understanding of the banking and financial services domain.

· Experience with manual and automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP, JMeter, etc.).

· Familiarity with issue tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).

· Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

· Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work under guidance and follow up diligently on assigned tasks.

Preferred Skills:

· Experience in banking or financial system development preferred.

· Microsoft Playwright experience preferred.

· Experience working in a team environment.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to execute tasks accurately.

· Experience working in offshore teams or with Japanese clients.

· Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

· ISTQB, CSTE or equivalent certification is preferred

· Japanese language proficiency is a plus.

Pay: Up to ₹1,000,000.00 per year
