Position Summary

The Supervisor I leads one assigned production department, area or value stream and is accountable for safe and reliable daily and weekly execution of the agreed production schedule. The role makes decisions within approved staffing, production, quality and operating standard develops employees, builds labor versatility and owns continuous improvement within the assigned area.

Matters outside the assigned area or delegated authority are escalated to the Plant Manager.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES Own Achievement of Daily Production Metrics. Lead one assigned department, area or value stream and achieve the agreed daily and weekly production schedule. Independently assign labor, sequence work within the established production schedule, approve routine overtime within agreed limits, stop work for safety or quality concerns and contain non – conforming product. Escalate schedule constraints and requests to change production orders, production priorities or customer commitments through the established planning process. Manage and Develop Employees. Directly supervise production employees and, where applicable, team leaders. Maintain attendance, overtime, holiday, payroll, conduct and performance records. Set clear expectations, coach performance, ensure competence and support individual development.

Build departmental skills and labor versatility. Maintain an accurate skills matrix for the assigned area. Identify coverage risks and implement cross -training plans that enable employees to perform multiple approved tasks within the department.





Verify competence before independent working and review progress against operational coverage needs.

Own Area Improvement. Drive improvement within the assigned area, lead root – cause activity, implement approved countermeasures and verify sustained results. Escalate work requiring cross – functional ownership, capital expenditure, changes to plant standards or action outside the assigned area. Contribute to plant – wide projects led by Supervisor II or the Plant Manager.

Safety, Quality and Compliance. Act as safety leader for the assigned area, respond to incidents and near misses, complete investigations and corrective actions, and maintain product and process quality standards.

Customer Support. For routine delivery or quality concerns arising from the assigned area, secure containment, provide verified operational information to the designated customer – facing function and execute the approved recovery plan. Escalate major or multi -department customer -impacting events. The role does not change or recommend changes to customer commitments.

Strong Team Player and Contributor. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintain clear shift communication and combine attention to detail with a strong orientation toward execution.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 1 year in a team leadership or supervisory role in assembly, machining or a comparable environment.
- Experience maintaining skills matrices, identifying training needs and coordinating cross-training within a production team.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, structured problem-solving and operational metrics.
- Experience managing day-to-day employee matters and operational priorities.
- Strong communication, organization, conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to interact with people at all levels of responsibility.
