Key Responsibilities
Direct Tax
- Verifying whether TDS has been deducted at correct rates as per the provisions of Income tax Act
- Preparation of monthly workings and making TDS payment to government
- Preparation of TDS returns on a quarterly basis
- Assist in sending the TDS certificated on a quarterly basis
- To prepare and file Income Tax returns on an annual bas
- Preparation of data for submissions to the Tax Officer
- Handle tax Audit
- Assist in Transfer Pricing Audit
GST
- Calculation of monthly GST Payable and Input Tax credit available for the period
- Detailed workings related to various components of GST liability at policy level and booking relevant entries were required
- Preparation of ITC register and effective utilization of credit for discharge of liability
- Preparation of data for Annual Return
- Preparation and filing of monthly GSTR 1 and GSTR 3B
- Registration of new premises
- To verify the correctness of ITC claimed in the books
- Reconciliation of the ITC as per books and GSTN portal
