Key Responsibilities of the Senior Lead - interior Trim include managing and guiding the technical aspects of designing the interior trim ensuring delivery of quality, functional, and aesthetically appealing components that meet safety, regulatory and cost requirements.

Key Performance Indicators Technical Expertise:

- Exposure to global requirements for trim engineering & design. Must have handled 4-5 projects of (Dashboard, Door & Interior hard & soft trim parts.) throughout the product lifecycle.
- To control and conceive of in-house or sub-contracted parts of the boundary defined by the project by respecting the objectives of planning, services, mass, cost and quality, while conceiving and by animating the team of designers, and by leading the actions necessary to convergence
- Prepare SOR (Statement of requirement) for bought out/supplier parts
- To control and animate the convergence of delegated interfaces in the authorities envisaged such as the projects meetings and design pilot meetings with the responsibility to reporting on convergence progress and to alert on the hard points.
- To carry out with the assistance of the design team under operational piloting technical constructions within project boundary and to converge them with peripheral systems
- To carry out the synthesis robustness for the technical reviews while making sure of the taking into account of technical repositories of the profession and the check lists as of the numeric style definition and by carrying out analyses of proximities via DMU module on the whole of the faces.
- Evolve, in pre-development to the hand over phase of components/ systems for what concern technical solutions and corresponding performance, timing and cost targets (using the appropriate systems).
- Should be able to develop the Master sections, Concept design & converge them into detail engineering, ensuring that the systems meet all Manufacturing, function & safety requirements




- Expertise in materials used in interior trims (plastics, textiles, foams) and knowledge of manufacturing processes like injection molding, compression molding, and thermoforming.
- Exposure to Work from Styling phase until TKO phase
- To ensure during all project development, the technical feasibility, the design robustness, the component manufacturability and the compliance of technical documentation, through the coordination of engineering (if necessary) and product suppliers. To point out the critical issues or any infringements of Design/Test Standards and identify the actions needed to respect the assigned targets.
- To manage, together with Design team, the design/installation DFMEAs execution performing the risk assessment and to provide support during execution
- To make available the documentation necessary to implement engineering changes (ECNs), to request their economical evaluations, to support the PR during the approval phase and to guarantee the associated drawings release.
- To ensure the tooling release process.
- To carry out the diagnostic activities on the relevant systems/components.
- To guaranty the quality of the transfer at the end of the project on the phase of development (after TKO) of the files controlled for sending to the pre-project service in industrial phase.
- Should be able to prepare the technical documents i.e. DFMEA, DFA, DFM, DFS, Gap & flush Targets
- Must be able to read the Digital simulation reports & able to provide the solution accordingly.




- Ensure that interior components meet NVH performance targets, focusing on minimizing cabin noise and vibrations.
- Familiarity with global automotive safety and environmental regulations (FMVSS, ECE) related to interior components
- Ability to analyze complex design challenges, troubleshoot issues, and develop creative solutions.
- Should able to identify opportunities for innovation in materials, design, and manufacturing processes to improve the quality, cost, and performance of interior components

Design Leadership

- Take ownership of the complete design and development process for interior systems and components, from concept through to production.
- Experience leading and mentoring Team performance, providing technical guidance and ensuring collaboration across teams.
- Solid interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various teams such as product management, styling, manufacturing, and suppliers.
- Ability to understand the project plan and its milestones, set priorities accordingly, and meet deadlines. Experience with project management tools is additionally advantageous.
- Lead the validation of interior components through physical testing (e.g., thermal, vibration, durability) and ensure that designs meet all performance and safety standards.

Project Management

- Identify potential design or engineering risks early in the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Work closely with product management, styling, and manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams to align design objectives with overall vehicle program goals.

Educational Qualification

B.E.in Mechanical or Production (college of technology / university) OR

Post Diploma / Diploma in Mechanical or Production or Industrial Engineering (college of technology / university)
