Role Description The Senior Designer is a full-time, Obeetee Factory on-site role based at Gopiganj ,Uttar Pradesh, India, responsible for leading the design and development of handwoven carpet collections and product development . This role involves conceptualizing new designs, creating detailed patterns and specifications, and translating design concepts into production-ready artwork.

The Senior

Designer collaborates closely with product development - weaving teams ,partners and commercial stakeholders to ensure designs meet market requirements, quality standards, and brand guidelines. Day-to-day activities include trend and material research, reviewing samples, refining color palettes, and maintaining design documentation for ongoing and upcoming collections. The role also includes contributing to design process improvements,



and supporting presentations to internal teams and key clients.

Qualifications

Rug experienced prefered .

- Strong skills in textile design, with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in patterns, color and composition.
- Proficiency in relevant design and presentation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent)
- Experience in carpet, rug, or textile design, including familiarity with weaving techniques and material properties.
- Ability to conduct trend and market research and translate insights into commercially viable design concepts.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with design, production, and commercial teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail under time constraints.
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior designers and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Design, Textile Design or a related field; advanced studies are an advantage.
- Understanding of sustainable and ethical design practices; prior experience in responsible sourcing or sustainable product development is a plus.
- Prior experience in a premium or luxury product setting is preferred.
