About the Role
Olevea is looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior Accountant Executive(Tally) to independently manage the company's complete day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
This is a standalone accounts position, so the candidate will be responsible for managing the complete internal accounts function and coordinating with the company's external CA, tax consultants and statutory auditors.
The ideal candidate should have strong practical accounting knowledge, be CA Inter qualified, and be capable of independently managing the company's financial operations with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
1. Complete Accounting Operations
- Independently manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping.
- Record sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments, journals and other transactions.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and supporting documentation.
- Manage monthly closing of accounts.
- Perform regular bank, customer and vendor reconciliations.
- Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete and up to date.
2. Client Billing & Receivables
- Prepare and raise monthly client invoices as per contracts, POs and agreed commercials.
- Maintain client-wise billing and revenue records.
- Track accounts receivable and prepare ageing reports.
- Follow up on outstanding client payments.
- Identify overdue invoices and highlight collection issues to management.
- Reconcile client accounts and resolve billing/payment discrepancies.
- Track TDS deductions and reconcile them against client payments.
3. Vendor Management & Payables
- Verify vendor bills and supporting documents.
- Maintain vendor ledgers and payable schedules.
- Process vendor payments as per approved payment terms.
- Ensure appropriate TDS deductions wherever applicable.
- Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain records of recurring expenses and service contracts.
4. GST, TDS & Statutory Compliance
- Maintain records and prepare data required for GST compliance.
- Coordinate with the external CA/tax consultant for GST returns and reconciliations.
- Handle TDS calculations, deductions, payments and documentation.
- Prepare information required for TDS returns and other statutory filings.
- Track statutory compliance deadlines.
- Ensure all required information and documentation is provided to consultants on time.
- Maintain proper records for GST, TDS and other statutory requirements.
5. Payroll & Employee Finance
- Coordinate with HR and management for monthly payroll inputs.
- Verify salary calculations, deductions, reimbursements and employee-related payments.
- Coordinate salary processing and maintain payroll records.
- Process employee reimbursements and expense claims.
- Maintain records of employee advances and recoveries.
- Coordinate with external consultants for applicable payroll compliances.
6. Management MIS & Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly financial reports for management.
- Prepare and maintain:
- Revenue reports
- Expense reports
- Receivables ageing
- Payables ageing
- Cash-flow reports
- Client-wise revenue reports
- Client/project profitability reports
- Monthly P&L; summaries
- Provide management with clear visibility on collections, expenses and cash flow.
- Highlight significant variances, overdue receivables and unusual expenses.
7. Client / Project Profitability
- Track client-wise revenue and collections.
- Track major costs associated with clients/projects.
- Support management in calculating client/project profitability.
- Monitor external vendor/freelancer costs against client revenue.
- Highlight projects/accounts where margins are significantly below expectations.
8. Banking & Cash Flow Management
- Maintain bank records and perform regular bank reconciliations.
- Prepare payment schedules for management approval.
- Monitor upcoming payment obligations.
- Maintain weekly visibility on the company's cash position.
- Track client collections against upcoming expenses.
- Coordinate with banks for routine account-related requirements.
9. Annual Audit & CA Coordination
- Act as the primary internal point of contact for the company's annual statutory audit.
- Coordinate with the statutory auditor and external CA.
- Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations and supporting documents.
- Provide ledgers, invoices,
bank statements and other information required during the audit.
- Track and resolve audit queries in coordination with management and the CA.
- Assist with information required for income-tax and other statutory matters.
10. Financial Controls & Documentation
- Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
- Ensure invoices, bills, receipts and payment approvals are properly recorded.
- Maintain appropriate internal financial controls.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of outstanding balances.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and bring them to management's attention.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.
Candidate Requirements
- CA Inter – Mandatory
- 4–7 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
- Experience independently managing accounts for a Private Limited Company.
- Strong practical knowledge of GST, TDS, accounting, reconciliations and statutory compliance.
- Experience coordinating with CA, tax consultants and statutory auditors.
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Good knowledge of P&L;, balance sheet and cash-flow reporting.
- Strong MS Excel skills.
- Experience with Tally accounting software.
- Experience in a service-based, IT, digital marketing or agency environment will be preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and take complete ownership of the accounts function.
Qualification CA Inter – Mandatory
Candidates who have completed CA Inter (both groups) will be preferred.
Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing the company's internal accounts function without requiring a separate accounts team.
The person should be able to manage:
Billing → Collections → Vendor Payments → Bookkeeping → GST/TDS → Payroll Inputs → Reconciliations → MIS → Cash Flow → Client Profitability → Audit Coordination The external CA/tax consultant will continue to provide support for specialised taxation, statutory filings and professional matters.
