Role Description

Role Summary The SailPoint IAM Platform Engineer will design, integrate, administer, secure, and support the SailPoint identity platform and its connected enterprise applications. The role combines application onboarding, identity lifecycle automation, Linux and application-server administration, vulnerability mitigation, high availability, disaster recovery, and audit support. The engineer will help ensure reliable provisioning and deprovisioning, least-privilege access, secure connectivity, and timely access revocation for employees, contractors, and third-party users.

Key Responsibilities

- SailPoint Integration &
- Application Onboarding
- Lead end-to-end onboarding and integration of enterprise applications into SailPoint IAM.
- Configure and support identity aggregation, account correlation, access profiles, entitlements, provisioning, deprovisioning, and reconciliation.
- Partner with application owners, HR, infrastructure, security, and audit teams to capture requirements, define controls, test integrations, and transition solutions into production.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, integration specifications, support procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Enterprise Systems in Scope
- WMS and workforce or warehouse management systems.
- SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
- Master Data Management platforms.
- Active Directory and LDAP directories.
- Electronic signature platforms, including DocuSign and Adobe Acrobat Sign.
- HR platforms and other authoritative sources that trigger identity lifecycle events.
- Identity Lifecycle &
- Process Enhancement
- Design, enhance, and streamline identity lifecycle processes for joiners, movers, leavers, contractors, and third-party users.
- Integrate SailPoint with HR systems and authoritative sources to trigger lifecycle events accurately and consistently.
- Automate access provisioning and deprovisioning in line with least-privilege principles and approved access policies.
- Ensure timely revocation of access for leavers, terminated personnel, and expired contractors.
- Continuously fine-tune workflows, rules, approvals, exception handling, and operational controls to improve reliability and reduce manual effort.
- Linux &
- SailPoint Platform Administration
- Administer Linux environments, with strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).




- Manage SailPoint application servers and Tomcat, including JVM tuning, service configuration, performance optimization, and log management.
- Perform operating-system-level troubleshooting, capacity monitoring, root-cause analysis, and performance tuning.
- Administer file systems, permissions, scheduled jobs and cron jobs, system services, and platform certificates.
- Maintain secure communication between SailPoint and connected target systems.
- Vulnerability Mitigation, Security &
- Compliance
- Review and remediate vulnerabilities identified through OCI Security Scanning, Tenable, Qualys, or equivalent tools.
- Plan and apply SailPoint patches, hotfixes, and third-party library upgrades using controlled change and validation procedures.
- Perform operating-system hardening aligned with applicable CIS Benchmarks and organizational security standards.
- Manage TLS/SSL certificates, keystores, truststores, renewals, and certificate-related incident resolution.
- Support ISO, SOC, internal security, and customer audit reviews by providing evidence, remediation updates, and control documentation.
- Follow security, change, incident, problem, and release management practices.
- High Availability, Resilience &
- Disaster Recovery
- Configure, operate, and support SailPoint high-availability architecture hosted in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Manage clustering, load balancing, node health, failover behavior, and availability monitoring.
- Coordinate disaster recovery activities, recovery validation, and periodic failover testing.
- Monitor platform health, availability, performance, interfaces, queues, logs, and scheduled jobs; take proactive corrective action.
- Participate in production support, major incident resolution, and after-hours support as required by the operating model.

Required Skills &

- Experience

- Strong hands-on experience with SailPoint application integration, connector configuration, application onboarding, and identity lifecycle management.




- Demonstrated experience administering enterprise SailPoint environments and supporting production operations.
- Solid Linux administration and troubleshooting experience, particularly Oracle Linux and RHEL.
- Hands-on experience with Tomcat administration, JVM tuning, log analysis, certificate management, file systems, and cron scheduling.
- Experience remediating infrastructure and application vulnerabilities using OCI Security Scanning, Tenable, Qualys, or comparable platforms.
- Experience with HA, clustering, load balancing, failover, disaster recovery, and health monitoring in OCI or a comparable cloud environment.
- Working knowledge of IAM principles, least privilege, access governance, segregation of duties, provisioning, deprovisioning, and audit controls.
- Integration experience with HR systems, Active Directory/LDAP, SAP, MDM, WMS, and SaaS applications through standard connectors, APIs, or secure file interfaces.
- Strong analytical, documentation, stakeholder-management, and production-support skills.

Education &
- Certification

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- SailPoint Identity Security Cloud Professional credential or SailPoint Certified Identity Security Engineer certification is required or strongly preferred, based on the final hiring level.
- Additional Linux, cloud, security, ITIL, or IAM certifications are advantageous.

Preferred Technical Exposure

- SailPoint Identity Security Cloud and/or IdentityIQ.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Linux shell scripting, REST APIs, web services, JDBC, SCIM, and directory integrations.
- Monitoring, ticketing, source control, CI/CD, and enterprise change-management tools.
- Security baselines, vulnerability management, certificate lifecycle management, and compliance evidence preparation.
