Are you an experienced procurement professional with strong expertise in vendor management, negotiation, costing and team leadership?

Crescendo Global is hiring for a Purchase Head - Procurement & Vendor Strategy role with a rapidly growing D2C consumer company. This is a leadership opportunity where you will own procurement savings, vendor strategy, supply continuity and purchase controls across raw materials, packaging, finished goods and services.

The role requires someone who can drive measurable procurement outcomes, build a reliable vendor ecosystem and lead a buying team effectively.

YOUR FUTURE EMPLOYER Our client is a profitable and rapidly growing D2C consumer company with its own manufacturing and R&D; facilities, operating plants across Faridabad and Shimla. The company operates across consumer brands in the beauty and personal care space and is focused on building scalable procurement and manufacturing systems to support continued growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Own department-wide procurement savings by negotiating rates, annual rate contracts, price holds, freight and landed costs.
- Develop and execute vendor strategy by consolidating spend with A-grade vendors and establishing qualified backup vendors for critical materials.
- Ensure supply continuity by driving 95%+ OTIF delivery and working closely with Store and Ecommerce/Amazon teams to prevent stockouts and panic buying.
- Lead weekly GRN-vs-MRN reconciliation, recover wrong or short billing and rejection claims, and ensure timely closure of discrepancies.
- Implement procurement controls including the 3-quote rule, PO approvals and vendor-master change controls to prevent leakage and fraud.




- Optimise reorder levels, safety stock and vendor payment terms in coordination with Finance to reduce dead stock and improve cash flow.
- Lead, set KPIs for and coach 2 Purchase Executives, including monthly performance reviews and tracking.
- Build strong relationships with strategic vendors and reduce single-source dependency for critical procurement categories.
- Maintain accurate procurement trackers and report key metrics including savings, vendor mix, OTIF, reconciliation and recovery to management.
- Travel regularly between Faridabad, Shimla and vendor locations as required.

REQUIREMENTS

- Graduate or MBA; Supply Chain or Operations specialization is preferred.
- 6-10 years of relevant procurement experience, including 2+ years of experience leading a buying/procurement team.
- Experience in FMCG, beauty, consumer products or manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience in vendor negotiation, costing, rate contracts and landed-cost management.
- Proven ability to deliver measurable procurement savings, ideally with experience achieving 5%+ savings versus last price.
- Experience managing GRN-vs-MRN reconciliation, billing discrepancies and recovery of vendor claims.
- Strong vendor-development skills, including identifying and qualifying alternate/backup vendors.
- Experience managing procurement KPIs such as savings %, OTIF, vendor mix, reconciliation and inventory.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills with the ability to work with procurement trackers and dashboards.
- Strong people-management, negotiation, ownership and stakeholder-management skills.
