About The Job

We are looking for an experienced Data Technical Project Manager with strong expertise in Data Engineering, Databricks, Agile/Scrum, and end-to-end project delivery. The candidate will be responsible for managing data projects, coordinating cross-functional technical teams, maintaining project governance, and ensuring successful delivery of data initiatives.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage end-to-end data projects from planning and execution through delivery and closure.
- Run and facilitate daily Scrum calls, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Guide and coordinate teams comprising Databricks Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Modelers, and other data professionals.
- Maintain and manage Azure DevOps (ADO) boards, ensuring work items, user stories, tasks, sprint assignments, priorities, status, and dependencies are updated accurately.
- Define project scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables with technical teams.
- Drive project execution using Agile/Scrum methodologies and ensure timely delivery within agreed scope and quality standards.
- Provide technical direction and facilitate discussions around data engineering, data architecture, data modelling,



and Databricks solutions.
- Track project progress, identify risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers, and drive them to closure.
- Coordinate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, Engineering teams, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment.
- Monitor sprint commitments, team capacity, velocity, and delivery metrics.
- Ensure timely updates to project plans, sprint backlogs, action items, risks, and dependencies.
- Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and key decisions to stakeholders and leadership.
- Support teams in resolving technical and functional challenges and facilitate collaboration across workstreams.
- Ensure adherence to project governance, delivery processes, documentation, and quality standards.
- Manage multiple priorities and workstreams while maintaining focus on project timelines and business outcomes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes, Agile practices, and team performance.

Requirements

- 12–15 years of experience in project management, with relevant experience in the P&C; Insurance industry.
- Strong experience in data project handling and end-to-end project delivery.
- Robust understanding of Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Modelling, and Databricks.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Scrum ceremonies.
- Experience managing and coordinating cross-functional data teams.
- Experience with Azure DevOps boards and project tracking.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.




- Robust understanding of insurance processes, regulations, and market trends.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field.
- PMP, PgMP, or Scrum Master certification preferred.

Good To Have

- Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Rally.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and workstreams.
- Strong strategic thinking and business outcome orientation.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Robust team building and leadership abilities.
