Principal Architect - 14-20 Years - Bengaluru Location - Bengaluru
Your Future Employer - A rapidly growing global SaaS organisation building large-scale, mission-critical platforms across BFSI, Education, Healthcare, and Marketplaces, with a growing focus on AI-native capabilities.
Responsibilities
1. Define and drive the target-state architecture for the core platform, covering scalability, multi-tenancy, extensibility, performance, security, infrastructure cost and data architecture.
2. Translate product and business direction, including emerging AI-native and agentic capabilities, into a coherent architecture roadmap.
3. Establish architectural principles, standards and guardrails across services, APIs, data and integration layers.
4. Lead complex, cross-cutting architectural challenges involving scale, reliability, data consistency and security.
5. Mentor senior engineers, tech leads and architects while driving architecture reviews, RFC/ADR processes and technical best practices.
Requirements
1. 14-20 years of overall software engineering experience with significant recent experience in architecture and technical leadership.
2. Proven experience owning target-state or reference architecture for large-scale, multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
3. Strong hands-on experience with modern technology stacks such as Java/.NET, cloud-native services, microservices and distributed systems.
4. Strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases, system design and architecture trade-offs at scale, with working knowledge of AWS/Azure/GCP.
5. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior engineers,
architects, CTO-level leadership and business stakeholders.
