Job Role: Platform Engineer – Azure
Location: Bangalore, Hyderabad& Chennai , Pune & Noida
Notice Period: Immediate
Experience: 5–10 Years
Relevant Experience: Robust hands-on experience in Azure Platform Engineering, Azure Architecture, Landing Zone Design, Cloud Governance, Networking, Cloud Security, AKS, IAM, Infrastructure Automation, and Platform API development/integration.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Azure Platform Architecture and Engineering.
- Experience designing and implementing Azure Landing Zones for enterprise-scale cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of Azure cloud governance, including policies, subscriptions, management groups, resource organization, tagging, cost controls, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Networking, including VNets, subnets, NSGs, route tables, private endpoints, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, Load Balancer, DNS, VPN, and ExpressRoute.
- Strong understanding of Azure Security principles, cloud security controls, network security, data protection, and security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including cluster architecture, networking, security, scaling, upgrades, and operational management.
- Strong experience with IAM (Identity and Access Management) using Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD, RBAC, managed identities, service principals, privileged access, and access governance.
- Strong hands-on experience in Infrastructure Automation using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, Azure CLI, PowerShell, or similar technologies.
- Experience developing or integrating Platform APIs and automation interfaces for provisioning, configuration, governance, and platform services.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated provisioning practices.
- Experience implementing standardized and reusable Azure infrastructure/platform components.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, scalability, availability, resiliency, and operational best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex Azure infrastructure, networking, identity, security, and platform issues.
Good-to-Have:
- Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-700, AZ-500, or AZ-400.
- Experience with Azure Policy, Management Groups, Azure Blueprints/CAF concepts, Defender for Cloud, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
- Experience with Terraform Enterprise/Cloud and reusable Terraform modules.
- Experience with GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins for infrastructure CI/CD.
- Experience with Helm, Kubernetes, Docker, and container security.
- Knowledge of GitOps practices and tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
- Experience with API Management (APIM) and enterprise API platforms.
- Experience with Azure Key Vault,
secrets management, certificates, and encryption.
- Experience implementing Zero Trust and least-privilege security models.
- Knowledge of Azure cost optimization and FinOps practices.
- Experience working with enterprise-scale Azure environments and cloud migration programs.
- Knowledge of observability, monitoring, logging, and platform reliability engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-scale Azure platform architecture.
- Design and implement secure and scalable Azure Landing Zones aligned with organizational architecture and governance standards.
- Establish and maintain cloud governance frameworks covering subscriptions, management groups, Azure Policies, RBAC, tagging, compliance, and resource standards.
- Design and implement secure Azure networking architectures, including VNets, subnets, NSGs, routing, firewalls, private connectivity, load balancing, DNS, VPN, and ExpressRoute.
- Build and maintain AKS platforms for enterprise application workloads, including cluster configuration, networking, security, scaling, upgrades, and operational support.
- Implement and manage IAM and access controls using Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, managed identities, service principals, and least-privilege principles.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, Azure CLI, and PowerShell.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, security controls, and operational activities.
- Build reusable platform modules, templates, and automation frameworks to enable development teams to consume cloud services efficiently.
- Design and implement Platform APIs for automated provisioning, configuration management, platform integration, and self-service capabilities.
- Integrate platform automation with CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows.
- Implement security controls across Azure infrastructure, networking, identity, containers, and platform services.
- Monitor platform health, performance, availability, capacity, and security posture.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Azure platform, networking, AKS, IAM, and infrastructure automation issues.
- Collaborate with Cloud Architects, Security, DevOps, SRE, Infrastructure, and Application Engineering teams.
- Define and enforce Azure platform standards, architecture patterns, security controls, and operational best practices.
- Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives by providing scalable and governed Azure platform capabilities.
- Continuously improve platform automation, reliability, security, developer experience, and operational efficiency.
- Document platform architecture, standards, processes, and operational procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams on Azure platform capabilities and cloud best practices.
Who Can Apply? ✔️ 5+ years of experience in Cloud/Platform Engineering, Azure Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or related areas.
