Company Description DDU-GKY (Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana) is a skills development initiative under the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, focused on enhancing employability of rural youth. The program partners with training organizations and employers to provide industry-relevant education, certification, and job placement support. DDU-GKY emphasizes inclusive growth, targeting youth from economically disadvantaged and marginalized communities.

By linking skills training with real job opportunities, the program aims to build sustainable livelihoods and strengthen local healthcare and allied services where trained paramedics are in demand.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Paramedic role based in Agartala. The Paramedic will provide pre-hospital emergency care, including patient assessment, stabilization, and protected transport to healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities include responding to emergency calls, administering basic and advanced life support procedures as per training and protocols, and accurately documenting patient information and treatments. The role involves working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, maintaining medical equipment and supplies, and following all clinical, safety, and infection-control guidelines.



The Paramedic will also participate in regular training, drills, and community health or awareness activities as required.

Qualifications

- Relevant paramedic or emergency medical technician (EMT) certification from a recognized institution and registration as per applicable regulatory requirements.
- Strong knowledge of emergency care protocols, basic and advanced life support, trauma management, and first aid procedures.
- Ability to perform accurate patient assessment, monitor vital signs, administer prescribed medications, and use emergency medical equipment safely.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams in high-pressure situations.
- Physical fitness and emotional resilience to work in demanding environments, including shift work, nights, weekends, and on-call duties.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain clear, timely medical records and reports following organizational and regulatory standards.
- Commitment to ethical patient care, confidentiality, and adherence to clinical safety, infection-control, and quality assurance practices.
- Prior experience in emergency care, ambulance services, or hospital settings is beneficial; familiarity with local languages in Agartala is an advantage.
