We're hiring: Online Math Tutors (US & Canada Students) | Part-time | Remote – India

Skillvelop is an early-stage education startup offering online math tutoring to school students in the US and Canada. We're building a small, high-quality team of tutors who can make math clear, confidence-building and even enjoyable for kids.

What You'll Do

- Teach live online 1:1 math classes to students in [Grades X–Y]
- Follow the US Common Core curriculum and our lesson structure
- Conduct trial classes for new families, giving a strong first impression that shows the child's gaps and how we'll help
- Assign practice work and track each student's progress
- Share short progress notes after each class and monthly updates for parents
- Join classes on time and communicate professionally with parents and our team

What We're Looking For

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or a related field (B.Ed is a plus)
- Strong command of school-level math and the ability to explain concepts simply




- Transparent spoken English that is easy for young learners to follow
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience (online preferred); experience with US/Canadian students is a plus
- Patient, encouraging and reliable

Requirements

- Laptop with a webcam and a stable internet connection with backup
- Digital writing tablet/pen pad (essential for teaching math online)
- Headset and a quiet, well-lit space
- Availability for at least 8-10 hours a week in US-aligned slots
- Willingness to undergo background verification and follow our child-safety guidelines

Pay & Terms

- ₹350 per completed 60-minute class
- Trial classes payments as per policy
- Monthly payout
- The number of classes grows with enrollments and your performance

Selection Process

- Application and screening questions
- Short math subject test
- 15-minute demo class (you teach one of our given topics)
- Final discussion
