About the role:

The Junior Associate - Trade Operations supports daily post-trade activities in equities, fixed income, and options, working under senior team members. Responsibilities include trade capture, validation, allocation, confirmation, affirmation, reconciliation, and settlement with custodians and prime brokers.

This position is designed for early-career professionals with up to two years of relevant experience. The junior associate follows established procedures, maintains accurate records, investigates routine exceptions, escalates unresolved issues, and develops practical knowledge of trade operations, investment systems, and custodial workflows.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

- Trade processing: Accurately enter, validate, route, allocate, confirm, affirm, and settle trades under supervision.
- Settlement monitoring: Track trade status and settlement deadlines, identify exceptions, and escalate failed trades or mismatched instructions to senior team members.
- Reconciliation support: Assist with daily reconciliation of trades, cash,



and positions between internal systems and custodian records.
- Custodian coordination: Support communication and follow-up with custodians and prime brokers, including Pershing, Fidelity, Schwab, and Goldman Sachs.
- Documentation and controls: Maintain trade records, update trackers, follow SOPs, and document issues and resolutions for audit and compliance.
- Team collaboration and learning: Work with business and technology teams while developing knowledge of post-trade processes, CRIMS, Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC), and Omgeo workflows.

Qualifications

- 0 to 2 years of experience in trade operations, investment operations, capital markets operations, financial services, or a related field. Recent graduates with relevant internships may also be considered.
- Basic understanding of financial markets, securities, and the trade lifecycle.
- Robust numerical ability, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and willingness to learn.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the ability to work accurately within time-sensitive processes.
- Exposure to CRIMS, custodial platforms, DTCC, Omgeo, trade reconciliation, or settlement workflows.
