- Monitor and implement infection prevention and control (IPC) practices across departments.
- Conduct regular infection-control rounds and audits in ICU, wards, OT, OPD, etc.
- Monitor compliance with hand hygiene, PPE usage, and standard precautions.
- Track and report healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
- Monitor sterilization, disinfection, biomedical waste management, and environmental hygiene.
- Conduct infection-control training and awareness sessions for nurses, doctors, housekeeping and other staff.
- Assist in outbreak investigation and infection-control measures when required.
- Monitor isolation precautions for patients with infectious conditions.
- Maintain infection-control records, reports, checklists and documentation.
- Coordinate with the Infection Control Committee and hospital departments.
- Ensure compliance with applicable hospital infection-control policies, protocols and accreditation standards.
- Participate in surveillance, data analysis and corrective/preventive actions related to infection control.
