Role Description The IGCSE/IB Math Tutor (US timings) role at WONK is a full-time, in office position based in Gurugram. The tutor will deliver high-quality, personalized instruction in IGCSE and IB Mathematics, including core topics and advanced concepts, aligned with international curricula. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and conducting engaging lessons, assessing student progress, providing regular feedback, and preparing students for internal assessments and examinations.
The tutor will maintain detailed records of student performance, collaborate with academic coordinators, and adapt teaching strategies to individual learning styles. The role may also involve occasional communication with parents or guardians to discuss progress and learning goals.
Qualifications
- Strong subject-matter expertise in Mathematics, including IGCSE and IB level content, and proficiency in key areas such as Algebra.
- Demonstrated experience in Tutoring and classroom or small-group instruction, with a focus on personalized learning.
- Effective Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and build rapport with students and families.
- Experience with Online Tutoring platforms and digital tools, even though the role is primarily on-site, to support blended learning as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Familiarity with IGCSE and IB curricula, assessment patterns, and international school standards.
- Ability to work full-time during US timings and manage schedules across different time zones.
- Strong organizational skills, patience, and a learner-centered approach to teaching.
- Prior experience in an international school or EdTech environment is an advantage.
