Role Description The Handicraft Merchandiser is a full time, on-site role based in Panipat, responsible for managing and promoting handicraft products from concept to customer delivery. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with artisans and suppliers, developing product assortments, monitoring production timelines, and ensuring product quality and specifications are met. The role involves preparing samples, maintaining product catalogs, and collaborating with sales and marketing teams to present collections to buyers and retail partners.

The merchandiser will track orders, manage pricing and margins,



analyze customer feedback and market trends, and support visual merchandising and display strategies for handicraft items. Regular interaction with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders is essential to maintain smooth operations and strengthen the brand’s presence in the handicraft market.

Qualifications

- Strong communication skills to coordinate with artisans, suppliers, buyers, and internal teams.

- Customer service and client relationship skills to handle inquiries, feedback, and ongoing accounts.

- Sales and retail experience to manage orders, negotiate terms, and support in-store or showroom merchandising.

- Marketing knowledge to help position handicraft products, support promotional campaigns, and understand market trends.

- Understanding of handicraft production processes, materials, and design aesthetics.

- Ability to manage multiple projects, maintain accurate documentation, and meet deadlines.

- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word) for reporting and order tracking.

- Prior experience in merchandising, handicrafts, textiles, or home décor sectors is preferred.

- Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in merchandising, fashion, textiles, business, or a related field is an advantage.
