Hardgoods Merchandiser (Intern-Level) | Buying House Experience Preferred

Who should apply

We are looking for early-career merchandisers with 6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience in Hardgoods, Home Décor or Lifestyle categories, ideally from a buying house setup. Candidates from NIFT, NID, Pearl Academy or similar institutes in Merchandising, Fashion, Product Design, Home Furnishing or Interior Design are preferred.

Please note: profiles from unrelated backgrounds (IT, Computer Science, non-design Engineering) will not be considered.

What you'll do

- Source products and identify suppliers across home décor and lifestyle categories
- Coordinate sample development, costing and quotations
- Follow up with suppliers on approvals, revisions, production timelines and dispatches
- Maintain TNA, order status and costing trackers in Excel
- Prepare merchandising reports and flag delays, gaps and pending follow-ups across orders




- Use AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude to speed up supplier research and report drafting (training provided)

What we're looking for

- 6 months to 1 year of merchandising experience in hardgoods, home décor or lifestyle (buying house experience is a strong plus)
- Working knowledge of the sourcing-to-shipment cycle: sampling, costing, PO follow-up, production and dispatch
- Strong MS Excel skills (formulas, sorting/filtering, trackers)
- Detail-oriented, with valuable communication and follow-up skills
- Ability to manage multiple supplier threads at once
- Interest in learning AI tools for productivity

What you'll gain End-to-end exposure to hardgoods merchandising in an international buying-house setup, plus practical experience applying Excel and AI tools to real workflows.
