Role Description The Garment Merchandiser will manage the complete merchandising cycle from sample development to bulk production and delivery. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with buyers on specifications and approvals, preparing costings and purchase orders, and liaising with fabric, trims, and accessory suppliers to ensure timely procurement. The role also involves following up with production teams, monitoring order status against timelines, maintaining accurate documentation, and resolving issues related to quality, delivery schedules, and product specifications.

The Garment





Merchandiser will collaborate with internal departments to meet customer requirements, support process improvements, and maintain clear communication throughout the order lifecycle. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.

Qualifications

- Experience in garment merchandising, including sample development, costing, and order follow-up.
- Knowledge of textiles, fabrics, trims, and garment production processes, preferably within a manufacturing or export environment.
- Strong skills in vendor and buyer coordination, negotiation, and relationship management.
- Ability to track timelines, manage multiple orders, and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., spreadsheets, email, documentation) and comfortable working with production and inventory data.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality standards, fit, and compliance with buyer specifications.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Relevant diploma or degree in textiles, fashion, apparel merchandising, or a related field; practical experience in garment merchandising is highly valued.
