FORREST is looking for a field assistant for its ecological restoration works.

Role Summary The Field Assistant will support FORREST’s ecological restoration projects through on‑ground supervision, coordination with field teams, quality checks, and timely execution of restoration activities across multiple landscapes.

Responsibilities

- Supervision and execution of restoration activities on site as per design/instruction
- Regular coordination with managing the team for productive work execution
- Ensuring safety guidelines are followed
- Maintain daily work logs and generate reports
- Assist in procurement activities
- Check the quality of work and material
- Ensure timely work execution as per deadlines

- Skills / Competencies

- Prior experience of supervising on-site work would be preferred
- Knowledge of concepts of soil and water conservation
- Basic ability of identifying flora and fauna
- People managing skills
- MS Word, MS Excel
- Good communication skills
- High sense of responsibility and discipline




- Integrity and transparency in reporting
- Willingness to travel frequently
- Languages – Fluency in English and Hindi compulsory and preferably Marathi

Physical Requirements

- Ability to work in remote forest landscapes
- Comfortable with long hours on field sites, walking, and outdoor conditions

Work Locations

Project sites across India ,as per project requirement

Educational Background

- Master’s in Forestry/ Environmental science/ Biodiversity /Wildlife/Ecology
- B.Tech /BE/Diploma/Masters in Soil and Water Engineering
- 1-2 years’ experience is desirable, field work experience is preferred
