Role Description The Educational Counselor role at RG International is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. The counselor will meet with students and families to understand academic backgrounds, interests, and career aspirations, and provide individualized guidance on suitable countries, universities, and programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, explaining admission processes, application requirements, and scholarship opportunities, and assisting students with documentation and timelines.

The role also involves organizing information sessions, maintaining accurate records of student interactions,



and collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth communication with partner institutions. The counselor will be expected to stay updated on global education trends, visa processes, and institutional policies to provide accurate and timely advice.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Educational Consulting and Education-related knowledge to guide students on international academic pathways.
- Candidates should possess Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to assess student profiles and recommend appropriate courses and institutions.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including explicit spoken and written communication, and the ability to present information confidently to individuals and groups.
- Relevant experience in academic advising, overseas education consulting, or student services is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to build trust with students, families, and institutional partners.
- Ability to manage multiple student cases simultaneously, with strong organization, attention to detail, and proficiency in basic office and CRM software.
- Willingness to work on-site in Ahmedabad and maintain a student-centric, ethical, and transparent counseling approach.
