DBT Architect - Databricks / AWS - 9+ Years - Pan India We are looking for an experienced DBT Architect responsible for building and managing transformation pipelines in a Databricks Lakehouse environment hosted on AWS, working alongside Data Engineers, Architects, and Business teams. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in DBT, SQL, Databricks, AWS, data modeling, and cloud-native data engineering practices.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data transformation pipelines using DBT in Databricks.
- Develop and manage DBT models including staging, intermediate, and mart layers.
- Implement dimensional data models including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault.
- Build and optimize transformation logic using Databricks SQL and Delta Lake.
- Develop effective data processing workflows within the Databricks Lakehouse environment.
- Implement data quality checks, validations, testing, lineage, and documentation.
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for DBT deployments and automation.
- Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Engineers, Analysts, and Business stakeholders.
- Mentor junior developers and promote data engineering best practices.

Mandatory Skills

- 9+ years of overall experience in Data Engineering and Analytics.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool).




- 3+ years of experience in Databricks development.
- Strong expertise in DBT Core and/or DBT Cloud.
- Advanced SQL development experience.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks Lakehouse, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Databricks Workflows.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts.
- Experience with ETL/ELT design patterns and large-scale datasets.
- Strong experience with AWS cloud-based data platforms.
- Experience with GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Understanding of batch and near real-time data processing concepts.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization of SQL transformations.
- Infrastructure-as-Code exposure is preferred.
