Job Title: Core Data Scientist - Machine Learning / NLP / Deep Learning Summary: EXL Analytics is seeking an experienced Core Data Scientist with 5+ years of hands-on expertise in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Deep Learning to join its Decision Analytics team in Gurgaon. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end data science projects-from feature engineering and model development to production deployment and optimization-translating complex business problems into high-impact data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities:

- Develop, validate, and deploy end-to-end Machine Learning, NLP, and Deep Learning models to solve complex business problems.
- Build specialized NLP solutions for text classification, sentiment analysis, entity extraction, text similarity, and language understanding.
- Design and optimize deep learning architectures, conducting algorithmic experiments to boost model accuracy, performance, and scalability.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering, product, and business teams to translate requirements into actionable AI/ML solutions.
- Execute continuous model evaluation, hyperparameter tuning, feature engineering, and statistical analysis for model lifecycle management.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning algorithms.




- Robust expertise in NLP techniques, text processing, embeddings, transformers, and language models.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras.
- Strong grasp of supervised/unsupervised learning, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques, with exposure to GenAI, LLMs, RAG, or Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) being a plus.
