Role Description The Consultant Dermatologist will provide outpatient consultations, diagnose and manage a variety of skin, hair, and nail disorders, and perform dermatological procedures as indicated. Daily responsibilities include taking detailed medical histories, conducting clinical examinations, interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing individualized treatment plans. The role also involves counseling patients on preventive skin care, treatment options, and post-procedure care, as well as maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols.

This is a part-time, on-site role based at Helios Skin & Hair Clinic in Chennai, requiring regular presence at the clinic during agreed working hours.





Qualifications

- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate qualification in Dermatology (MD/DNB/DDVL or equivalent).
- Valid medical registration with appropriate licensing body and eligibility to practice dermatology in India.
- Demonstrated experience in medical dermatology, including diagnosis and management of common and complex skin and hair conditions.
- Proficiency in dermatological procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, intralesional injections, and basic cosmetic interventions (e.g., chemical peels, lasers, injectables) is an advantage.
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to evidence-based practice.
- Clear, empathetic communication skills with the ability to explain diagnoses and treatment plans in a patient-friendly manner.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinic staff, follow established protocols, and contribute to a respectful, inclusive work environment.
- Comfort with maintaining electronic medical records and following hygiene, safety, and quality standards in an outpatient setting.
- Prior experience in an urban dermatology or aesthetic clinic setting in Chennai or similar metropolitan area is beneficial.
