About Graviton

Graviton Research Capital is a proprietary trading firm built on quantitative research and low-latency engineering. We trade our own capital across global equities, futures, and derivatives markets, combining statistical modelling, machine learning and high-performance systems to compete at the fastest end of electronic markets.

Research and engineering sits at the core of the firm. Strategies are built, tested and deployed by small teams working close to the market, supported by an in-house stack spanning signal research, execution and exchange connectivity. Our Gurgaon office houses a large share of that work. We run flat. Decisions are made by the people closest to the problem, and we have kept the management layer deliberately thin as we've grown.

The Role

Graviton is scaling globally, and we're building the culture and systems to make that growth durable. As Chief of Staff, you'll be pivotal in turning the Partners' vision into concrete plans and real follow-through. It's a force-multiplier role: equal parts strategic thinking, sharp execution, and people leadership, working directly with the Partners and senior leaders to drive clarity, performance and cohesion across the firm.

What You'll Do

Much of this role runs through our research, engineering and trading teams. You won't manage them, but you will need to understand their work well enough to tell a real constraint from a stale assumption, and to represent their reality accurately to the Partners.

Turn priorities into plans

- Work with the Partners to convert firm-level priorities into concrete plans, with clear ownership, timelines and a clear definition of what success looks like.
- Run the operating cadence: annual and quarterly planning, goal-setting and the reviews that keep both honest.
- Frame the big decisions before they land. Lay out the options, pull the data,



write the memo and drive to a call.
- Work with research and engineering leads to keep firm-level priorities and team roadmaps pointed in the same direction, surfacing conflicts between them early.
- Maintain a clear picture of what the technical organisation is working on: what's live, what's blocked and what has quietly stalled.

Own the follow-through

- Take on the cross-functional initiatives that have no natural home, the ones spanning research, engineering, trading and business operations.
- Run the Partners' meeting rhythm end to end: agendas, pre-reads, decisions recorded and actions closed. Nothing important gets quietly dropped.
- Build the lightest systems that keep a flat firm coordinated and resist the process for its own sake.

Write for the firm

- Draft the memos, strategy documents and all-hands narratives that carry the Partners' thinking across Graviton.
- Turn long, messy discussions into one page that people actually read and act on.
- Speak for the Partners in rooms they can't be in and bring back the signal that matters.

Build the business functions

- Build and lead the firm's procurement, brand and communications, and workplace functions, hiring the people to run them as they mature.
- Put in place the vendor, contracting and spend discipline a firm operating across multiple regions needs.
- New offices, new markets, new functions and current systems. The work nobody owns yet is yours to pick up and make real.





What We're Looking For

- 8–10 years across engineering, trading or high-growth technology companies, including sustained close work with senior leadership.
- A strong instinct for structure. You take ambiguous problems, impose an order on them, and keep them moving without being asked twice.
- Unusually valuable writing. You can take a long, unresolved discussion and turn it into a page that settles it.
- Comfort with data and technical detail. You can pull the numbers yourself, press on what they actually show, and hold your own with researchers and engineers.
- Experience building a function from scratch and hiring the people to run it, not just running one that already exists.
- Sound judgment and discretion. You'll see sensitive information about people, performance and strategy well before anyone else does.
- A preference for being useful over being visible.

An Added Advantage

- A technical background: a degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or physics, or time spent writing production code or doing quantitative research.
- Familiarity with how trading systems are built and operated, including research pipelines, backtesting, execution, latency and exchange connectivity.
