Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Category Manager role based in Chennai.

The Category

Manager will oversee assigned product categories, including assortment planning, pricing, promotions, and vendor relationships, to drive sales and profitability. Daily responsibilities include analyzing sales and customer data, tracking market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and optimizing product range and inventory levels. The role involves collaborating with procurement, merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to plan campaigns, manage stock,



and ensure timely product availability.

The Category

Manager will also handle contract negotiations with suppliers, monitor performance metrics, and implement continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Annachy’s value-focused retail strategy.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Category Management skills with experience in assortment planning, pricing, and promotional strategy.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, including data interpretation, forecasting, and performance tracking.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in Contract Negotiation and vendor relationship management.
- Candidates should possess experience in Procurement and sourcing, including supplier evaluation and cost optimization.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Sales processes and retail or e-commerce environments, preferably in multi-category formats.
- Relevant experience in FMCG, lifestyle, or general merchandise categories is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, retail management, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, data-driven workplace.
- Proficiency in basic analytics tools; experience with ERP or retail management systems is an advantage.
