As a Buyer (Medical Procurement) BSM Cruise, you will be responsible for coordinating the procurement and delivery of medical supplies for vessels, ensuring requirements are accurately fulfilled in a timely and cost-effective manner. The role plays a key part in supporting vessel operations by maintaining the availability of medicines and medical consumables onboard while ensuring compliance with procurement standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and manage quarterly and ad hoc medical supply requirements received from vessels.

- Review medical requisitions and select appropriate medicines and medical consumables for procurement.

- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations based on pricing, availability, specifications, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.

- Prepare purchase orders in accordance with procurement policies and requirements.

- Monitor procurement activities from order placement through delivery, ensuring timely and accurate supply of medical items onboard.

- Liaise with suppliers, vessels,



and relevant stakeholders to resolve procurement and delivery-related matters.

- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure proper documentation and audit compliance.

- Complete goods receipt processes following confirmation of delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) preferred, or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline.

- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a related field.

Skills & Competencies

- Sound knowledge of purchasing and procurement processes.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

- Excellent stakeholder management and coordination abilities.

- Positive negotiation skills and commercial awareness.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and procurement-related systems.
