VENTTUP is an engineering-led Manufacturing as a Service company helping customers develop, localise and scale products through India’s manufacturing ecosystem.

We are looking for a Business Head to establish and scale our Aerospace, Defence & Space

Systems vertical. You will identify high-value programs, build customer and technology partnerships, lead product development and qualification, and take ownership of revenue, profitability and P&L.;

This role is for someone who can turn demanding technical requirements into manufacturable products—and build a business around that capability.

What you will own

- Define the vertical’s strategy, target customers, development pipeline, revenue plan and P&L.;
- Develop opportunities for the indigenisation and new part development of mission-critical components, assemblies and systems.
- Build programs for precision-machined parts, fabricated and precision sheet-metal components, enclosures, box builds and integrated subassemblies for defence, aerospace and space applications.
- Support deep-tech companies with design optimisation and rapid prototyping of functional subassemblies, followed by validation, industrialisation and production scale-up.
- Develop opportunities in ground support equipment, specialised material-handling equipment, fixtures, test-related hardware and power electronics assemblies.
- Translate customer drawings, performance requirements and specifications into feasibility assessments, development plans, prototypes and qualified production.
- Build a network of manufacturing, materials,



special-process, testing and technology partners.
- Lead technical proposals, costing, bids, negotiations, program reviews and customer relationships.
- Establish disciplined processes for design changes, documentation, inspection, traceability, quality and on-time delivery.
- Build and lead the team needed to scale the vertical.

What you bring

- Experience in aerospace, defence, space or deep-tech product development, manufacturing or supply-chain programs.
- An understanding of how critical parts move from design and prototype through testing, customer approval and repeatable production.
- Familiarity with precision manufacturing, fabrication, assemblies or electronics integration, and the judgment to bring in specialists where needed.
- The ability to work through long qualification cycles while maintaining customer trust, program momentum and commercial discipline.
- A robust interest in building indigenous capabilities and reducing dependence on imported components and systems.
- An entrepreneurial, self-motivated approach and the willingness to build a vertical from the ground up.

Experience working on defence programs, iDEX projects or other government-backed innovation and indigenisation initiatives is an advantage.

Experience across every product area is not required. We value the ability to identify the right opportunities, assemble capable teams and partners, and deliver technically sound, profitable programs more than a fixed number of years in a role.
