VENTTUP is an engineering-led Manufacturing as a Service company helping customers develop, localise and scale products through India’s manufacturing ecosystem.

We are looking for a Business Head to build our Electronics, Automation, Robotics & Smart Manufacturing vertical from the ground up. The mandate covers electronics manufacturing, factory automation and intelligent material-handling solutions. You will identify customer problems, develop practical solutions, win programs and own the vertical’s revenue, profitability and P&L.;

This is a hands-on role for a leader who is equally comfortable on a factory floor, in an engineering review and in a commercial discussion.

What you will own

- Define the vertical’s strategy, product and service focus, annual business plan, customer pipeline and P&L.;
- Develop opportunities in factory automation, robotics solutions, AGVs and automated material handling.
- Build programs for special purpose machines, production and assembly-line equipment, conveyor systems, fixtures and testing stations.
- Grow VENTTUP’s capabilities in electronics box building and EMS, including PCB assembly, wiring, integration, testing and complete product builds through qualified partners.
- Identify opportunities in smart factories and AI-enabled automation, such as machine monitoring, inspection, production data capture and process optimisation where they deliver measurable customer value.




- Translate factory challenges into concepts, technical specifications, prototypes and deployable solutions.
- Lead technical proposals, costing, partner selection, integration, installation and commissioning coordination.
- Build relationships with manufacturers, OEMs, system integrators, electronics partners and automation technology providers.
- Own pricing, negotiations, program margins, delivery commitments, collections and customer satisfaction.
- Build the engineering, project delivery and business development team needed to scale the vertical.

What you bring

- Hands-on exposure to industrial automation, robotics, material handling, special purpose machines, electronics manufacturing or systems integration.
- The ability to assess a production process, identify an chance and develop a technically sound solution with a clear commercial case.
- Experience working across mechanical, electrical, controls, software and manufacturing teams—or the ability to bring those specialists together.
- Commercial judgment in proposals, costing, negotiations and project execution.
- A self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset and the drive to build a business from scratch.

You do not need to be an expert in every technology listed. We value people who take ownership, learn quickly, build capable teams and turn customer opportunities into successful, repeatable programs.
