We are seeking an early-career professional or highly motivated recent graduate with interest in ins patient, healthcare, and biopharma , strategy and communications, and in patient-centered care. This role is an opportunity to build foundational skills while working alongside experienced team members on projects across the life sciences industry.
What you'll Do
Research and Analysis
- Conduct targeted secondary and primary research to keep project and client teams informed across multiple therapeutic areas
- Presentation development: Translate research, meeting insights and strategic direction into well-structured first drafts of client-facing PowerPoint/Google Slides presentations
- Insights synthesis: Review meeting notes, transcripts, research and other inputs to identify key themes, implications, gaps and recommended next steps
- Leverage existing market research and insights tools as well as identify and incorporate new ones as needed
Communications
- Make first draft of communications materials, including engagement plans, newsletters, one-pagers, website content, presentation decks, annual reports, toolkits, and post-event recaps.
- Draft, edit, and proofread materials to ensure clarity, consistency, and quality.
- Support copy approval and review workflows through Veeva or equivalent platforms, where applicable.
- Collaborate with creative and production partners on presentation design, visual assets, video scripts, and other communications materials.
- Help translate research findings and program outcomes into clear, engaging narratives for internal and external audiences.
Meetings, Events & Engagement
- Support meetings, summits, roundtables, advisory boards, webinars, and other client engagements.
- Prepare agendas, participant bios, briefing materials, run-of-show documents, presentations, and other meeting materials.
- Assist with speaker preparation, interviews, dry runs, and meeting coordination.
- Capture and synthesize key insights, feedback, and action items during and after engagements.
- Support post-event reporting, presentation summaries, and feedback surveys.
Team and Project Collaboration
- Take ownership of assigned deliverables and workstreams from initiation through completion, proactively managing next steps, requesting necessary inputs, incorporating feedback and escalating risks when needed.
- Anticipate team and client needs within assigned workstreams rather than relying solely on task-by-task direction
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality client work.
- Participate actively in team meetings and contribute ideas and perspectives.
- Take increasing ownership of assigned tasks and workstreams as skills and experience develop.
- Seek guidance when needed and incorporate feedback to strengthen consulting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Handle confidential client information with professionalism, discretion, and accountability.
Company Development
- Support internal process improvements, knowledge management, and business development initiatives.
- Support proposal development, project scoping, business development, and project closeout activities.
- Stay informed on patient strategy, advocacy, biopharma, healthcare, AI, market, and patient trends.
- Contribute to white papers, articles, conference materials, and other thought leadership.
- Share relevant insights, research, and best practices with the team.
- Contribute to DKI Health's patient-first, innovation-centered culture and growth.
Project and Account Management
- Project management support: Coordinate timelines, deliverables, meetings, and next steps across multiple client projects and workstreams.
- Team coordination: Keep account, creative, strategy, and other agency partners aligned on priorities, deadlines, and responsibilities.
- Client support: Help prepare for client meetings, track follow-ups and action items, and ensure client requests are routed to the right team members.
- Project tracking & organization: Maintain project plans, status trackers, schedules, budgets, and other documentation to keep work organized and on schedule.
- Review & approval coordination: Manage materials through internal review, medical/legal/regulatory review, client review, and final approval processes.
- Meeting & communication support: Schedule meetings, develop agendas, capture notes/action items, and proactively communicate updates or potential issues.
- Vendor & production coordination: Support coordination with external vendors, production partners, freelancers, and other third parties as needed.
- Proactive problem-solving: Identify potential delays, gaps, or competing priorities early and escalate issues to the appropriate team members.
- Agency operations: Contribute to improving project processes, templates, workflows, and tools that help the company operate more efficiently.
What We're Looking For
Required
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, healthcare, public health, economics, business, communications, marketing, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of professional experience in agency, healthcare, consulting, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into concise insights and key takeaways.
- Solid first-draft writing skills across presentations, emails, reports and other business communications.
- Ability to independently manage multiple assigned deliverables, prioritize competing deadlines and proactively communicate risks or needs.
- Demonstrate initiative and comfort working from strategic direction rather than requiring step-by-step task instructions.
- Relevant internships, academic projects, fellowships,
research, or co-op experience will be considered.
- Strong interest in patient strategy, advocacy, biopharma, healthcare, life sciences, patient engagement, and/or patient-centered care.
- Strong research, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize information, synthesize findings, and communicate key takeaways clearly.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Ability to learn quickly, work collaboratively, and take initiative.
- Comfortable working across multiple time zones and cultures in a global team environment.
Preferred
- Internship or project experience in life sciences, healthcare consulting, pharmaceutical/biotech, medical communications, healthcare marketing, or patient advocacy.
- Experience conducting primary or secondary research.
- Experience developing presentations, reports, dashboards, or other client-facing materials.
- Exposure to patients, caregivers, patient organizations, or other healthcare stakeholders.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance, market access, medical affairs, commercial strategy, or promotional review processes.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, NotebookLM, Copilot, or similar tools, with an understanding of responsible AI use.
- Exposure to marketing channels such as email, websites, CRM, or social media.
