Assistant Manager - Factory Operations - FMCG / Cosmetics We are looking for a hands-on Factory Operations professional with 5-7 years of experience in factory, production or plant operations, preferably within FMCG, cosmetics or personal care manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to machine operations, shop floor management, labour handling, production planning and quality and safety practices. This role requires high ownership, strong execution discipline and the ability to manage day-to-day factory operations independently.

Responsibilities

- Managing machine uptime, coordinating maintenance and minimising production downtime.
- Planning shifts, allocating work and managing labour attendance, discipline and productivity.
- Ensuring daily and weekly production targets are being achieved without compromising quality.
- Enforcing quality checks, safety protocols, SOPs and housekeeping standards across the shop floor.
- Coordinating with Purchase and Warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging and consumables.
- Monitoring machine performance, identifying breakdowns and coordinating timely repairs with maintenance teams or vendors.
- Tracking production output, wastage and efficiency while identifying and escalating deviations.
- Maintaining production logs, machine maintenance records and factory compliance documentation.
- Supervising machine operators and floor labour while resolving day-to-day shop floor issues.
- Reporting floor performance,



operational issues and key decisions directly to the Founder.

Requirements

- 5-7 years of experience in factory, production or plant operations.
- Hands-on experience in machine operations and shop floor management.
- Exposure to FMCG, cosmetics or personal care manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong experience in labour, contract workforce, attendance, shift and productivity management.
- Good understanding of production schedules, machine maintenance, SOPs, quality and safety practices.
- Strong execution, problem-solving and operational ownership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and hands-on factory environment.
- Relevant technical or management qualification in Production, Operations, Engineering or a related field.
