Role Description The Assistant Interior Designer will support the lead designer in developing concepts, preparing mood boards, and assisting with detailed space planning for residential and commercial projects. This full-time hybrid role is based in Mumbai, with a mix of on-site work at client locations and the studio, and some tasks that can be completed from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and updating construction drawings, coordinating FF&E; selections (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and ensuring design intent is maintained across all project stages.

The role also involves site visits, measurement and documentation,



vendor and contractor coordination, and assisting in material and finish selection.

The Assistant Interior

Designer will help prepare client presentations, maintain project timelines, and contribute to the overall quality and consistency of design deliverables.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to translate concepts into practical layouts.
- Understanding of Architecture and basic construction principles to support design development and site coordination.
- Ability to create and interpret Construction Drawings using relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar).
- Experience with FF&E; selection, specification, and scheduling, including furniture, fabrics, lighting, and finishes.
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, or equivalent) and MS Office.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management, with the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, vendors, and contractors.
- Willingness to travel within Mumbai for site visits and vendor meetings as required.
- Prior internship or skilled experience in luxury or residential interior design is an advantage.
