Role Description The Area Business Manager role is a full-time, in office position based in Ludhiana. The person in this role will manage sales operations within an assigned territory, including building and maintaining relationships with distributors, retailers, and key customers in the cattle feed and khal binola segment. Daily responsibilities include planning and executing sales visits, tracking orders and collections, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring effective product placement and visibility.

The Area Business

Manager will analyze market trends and competitor activities,



prepare regular sales reports, and recommend initiatives to increase market share. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams for timely supply, resolving customer issues, and supporting local marketing and promotional activities.

Qualifications

- Strong sales and business development skills, including territory management and customer relationship building.
- Ability to analyze market trends, interpret sales data, and prepare concise performance reports.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the capacity to engage confidently with distributors and retailers.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities to plan visits, manage follow-ups, and meet targets.
- Comfort with on-site field work, frequent travel within the region, and working independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in FMCG, agro-based products, or cattle feed industry is highly beneficial.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office or similar tools for reporting and documentation.
- Preferred educational background: bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, agriculture, or a related field.
