About Airawath
Airawath is an AI-powered invitation and event management platform for the Indian diaspora in the US. Birthdays are the core occasion - kids' birthdays, first birthday celebrations, milestone adult birthdays - alongside housewarmings, baby showers, naming ceremonies and festivals. Users create invitations with AI (text-to-image, chat, voice), manage guests and RSVPs, and get AI assistance throughout.
Founded in 2024, headquartered in Phoenix, AZ, with the team based in India. Live on web, with a mobile app in active development.
Why Join
- You run marketing, not a single campaign. This is an ownership seat rather than an execution one - you own the numbers marketing is judged on and decide how to reach them.
- AI is your leverage. You use AI tools to do the work of a small team yourself - research, creative, copy, campaign analysis - and you are measured on the output it produces.
- Real budget, real accountability. Paid spend, signups and the guest-to-host referral loop are yours to move, with the numbers to prove it.
- Direct founder access. Small team, no layers between you and the person who owns the outcome you're chasing.
The Role You own marketing results end to end - pipeline, signups, and conversion from ad click through to a sent invite - and you use AI tooling to do it with the leverage of a much bigger team. This is a strategy and ownership role rather than a content-production one: you decide what to run, run it (with AI doing the heavy lifting on creative, copy and analysis), measure it, and are accountable for the result. You are a marketer first - strategy, positioning, channel judgment - who also codes and builds enough to not wait on anyone to stand up a workflow, a dashboard or a tracking pipeline.
What You'll Own
- CAC and signup volume across paid channels - you set the targets and you are accountable for hitting them, not just for spending the budget
- The funnel from ad to first sent invite - awareness through activation, with the drop-off points identified and worked, not just reported
- Guest-to-host conversion - the referral loop where someone invited to an event goes on to host their own; growing this is the highest-leverage lever in the business
- AI-run marketing workflows - you build and operate your own tooling for content generation, campaign creation, creative production and reporting rather than hiring a team to do it by hand
- Attribution you can trust - UTM/source capture on signup, Meta and Google conversion events, and admin dashboard numbers that hold up when someone checks them
- Coupon, referral and viral mechanics - design and run the programs that turn one signup into the next
- Channel strategy and mix - paid (Meta/Google), organic/SEO, influencer, and any other channel that earns its place, with the discipline to cut the ones that do not
Must Have
- 5-7 years of marketing experience, and not more than 10. We are looking for someone still close to the work, rather than solely in an oversight capacity.
- A marketing background with real technical range - MBA or equivalent business grounding, paired with genuine comfort building and running things yourself, not delegating to a developer or an agency
- A proven AI-native workflow - you already use AI tools daily as a core part of how you work (content, creative, campaign analysis, reporting)
- Ownership of a growth or funnel metric at a startup or consumer product - CAC, activation rate, conversion, LTV - something you moved and can talk about with numbers
- Paid acquisition experience - Meta and/or Google Ads, reading platform data and iterating on creative and targeting yourself
- Comfortable working directly with engineering on analytics, attribution and tracking asks - you don't need to write production code, but you know what to ask for and can tell if the data is right
Positive to Have
- Experience marketing to a diaspora or culturally specific audience in the US
- Influencer, affiliate, or referral-program experience
- SEO and organic content strategy experience
- Early-stage startup experience as the only marketing hire, owning strategy and execution together
- Experience building lightweight internal tools or automations (no-code or code) rather than waiting on engineering for every workflow
What We Are Not Looking For This role is likely not the right fit if your experience is primarily:
- Content creation, copywriting, or campaign execution against a plan set by someone else
- Managing agencies or vendors rather than owning the outcome directly
- Marketing without hands-on use of AI tools in your day-to-day workflow
What Success Looks Like at 90 Days Month 1: Signup attribution is trustworthy - you can name CAC by channel and where the funnel leaks between ad click and first sent invite. First AI-run workflow (content, creative, or reporting) is live and replacing manual work.
Month 3 (90 days): A funnel and guest-to-host conversion baseline is established and you are reporting against it weekly. At least one channel or campaign you built and ran end to end has a measured CAC and a decision made on it (scale, cut, or iterate). You are proposing the next quarter's channel mix with numbers behind it, not opinions.
Month 6: CAC and signup volume are trending in the direction you set at Month 1, guest-to-host conversion has moved, and marketing is running on workflows you built rather than manual effort.
